The Maserati Merak was an Italian sports car made in 1972, about a inferior adaptation of the Maserati Bora. It commissioned an all fresh Maserati advised quad-cam V-6 motor (also aggregate with the Citroen SM) for the Bora's beyond V-8, consistent not alone in a lower cost, but allowance for a baby backseat and more good administration due to lower weight and a more good front/rear weight distribution.
Aesthetically, the Merak differed from the contrarily actual agnate Bora mainly in antic accessible aerial buttresses instead of the Bora's absolutely glassed rear, and the use of the Citroen SM dashboard on models produced afore 1976.
The Merak went out of assembly in 1982.
